Every wine shop, every webshop claims to have the best selection. But who has actually visited the winemaker? Who knows the story behind the bottle? That difference is precisely what it's all about.
You want to pour something you can talk about. Where does this wine come from? Who made it? But that information is nowhere to be found. You just drink a bottle, without context.
I visit the winemaker personally. I get to know them and taste their wine at the source. Because only then do I know for sure that what I take home is worthwhile.
Because if you know who made the wine, how he works the soil, and why he chooses quality over quantity, you taste the difference.
That is not something you learn from a catalog. You have to be there, meet the people, smell the soil, and taste the wine where it is made. Only then do you know if it is worth taking home.
I only take what I truly like back to the Netherlands. No marketing stories, no middlemen. Just honest wine.
